Job description

About Publicis Groupe

Publicis Groupe is a global leader in marketing, communications, and digital business transformation, operating since 1926 in over 100 countries. Our Singapore hubs include Publicis Communications, home to top creative agencies like Publicis Worldwide and Leo Burnett, and Publicis Media & Digital, featuring brands such as Starcom and Zenith. Other hubs, Publicis Sapient and Publicis Commerce, focus on empowering businesses through digital transformation and commerce solutions.

Role Overview

The Junior Commerce Data Analyst will facilitate the integration of commerce data from multiple sources into our agency platforms. This role involves ensuring data integrity and usability to support campaign analysis, marketplace tracking, and commerce insight generation on retail media platforms. Collaboration with commerce, engineering, and data teams is essential to convert raw data into actionable insights and clear, impactful reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up, mapping, and maintaining commerce data feeds across platforms by liaising with technical teams to secure appropriate data inputs.
  • Create and update performance dashboards, track experiments, report on product features, and analyse tool usage to reveal valuable insights.
  • Conduct analyses on A/B testing, uplift measurement, and campaign performance to assess media and commerce solution outcomes.
  • Interpret data to offer straightforward recommendations and help prioritize actions for product, growth, and strategy units.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to standardize metrics, confirm data quality, document definitions, and ensure reproducible analysis processes.
  • Carry out both scheduled and ad hoc evaluations to measure business results and guide strategic planning.
  • Document analytical techniques, assumptions, and conclusions; communicate findings effectively to stakeholders using clear, non-technical language.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum one year of relevant experience or a recent degree in statistics, economics, data science, business analytics, computer science, marketing analytics, or related fields, including internships or projects with A/B testing, analytics, or dashboard development.
  • Solid proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline concepts such as APIs, connectors, or ETL processes; direct experience not mandatory but openness to learning data flow is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals and model assessment; prior exposure to predictive modeling or experiments is advantageous.
  • Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, with an ability to establish and monitor meaningful KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and effectiveness in communicating insights; comfortable operating within cross-departmental, product-focused teams and adapting rapidly.
  • Awareness of tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, SQL databases, dashboard platforms, marketplace seller centers, retail media platforms, and analytics/reporting sources.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis, or familiarity with experimentation and feature-flag systems, would be beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of commerce metrics including GMV, conversion rate, ROAS, basket size, site traffic, affiliate contributions, content effectiveness, and marketplace campaign performance.
