Junior Civil Site Engineer

Job Overview

Varuna is seeking a proactive Junior Civil Site Engineer to join our project execution team specializing in water treatment and civil construction. This full-time role requires working at various client project sites in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The chosen candidate will assist with installation and execution of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and RCC tank projects, closely guided by senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and implementation of STP, ETP, and RCC tank projects.
• Oversee daily civil works and site execution operations.
• Manage coordination among site laborers and contractors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor daily progress on-site and communicate updates to senior engineers.
• Interpret basic civil drawings and follow on-site instructions.
• Perform site measurements and calculate material quantities.
• Prepare lists of required materials and coordinate procurement, dispatch, and receipt of supplies.
• Maintain and manage site tools, equipment, and materials inventory.
• Work closely with vendors, contractors, and client representatives for effective collaboration.
• Keep detailed site documentation and record daily progress reports.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards at the project site.
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities as needed.
• Assist senior engineers in ensuring project completion according to schedule.
• Help in final inspections and handover processes of completed projects to customers.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational qualification of Diploma, BE, or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and site supervision.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with labor teams.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and executing site instructions.
• Knowledge of measurements, quantity estimation, and documentation essentials.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong communication skills; proficiency in Hindi is mandatory, with basic English reading and writing abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently and stay at client or project sites.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to STP, ETP, and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) project workflows.
• Understanding of RCC tank construction methods.
• Knowledge of piping and equipment installation techniques.
• Prior internship or site training experience is advantageous.

Additional Information

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is INR 15,000 to INR 20,000.
