Position Overview

The Junior Chef de Partie will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to assist in the preparation and service of the Italian menu, contributing to maintaining high culinary standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and mise en place with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist in cooking and preparing dishes during service periods.
  • Ensure consistent quality of food, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Adhere to recipes, portion controls, and kitchen protocols.
  • Support the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff during peak times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section, ensuring readiness for service.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper food storage procedures.
  • Comply with food safety, health and safety, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Offer support to the wider kitchen team as needed.
  • Perform additional kitchen assistant tasks when required, including washing up, cleaning equipment and workspaces, managing deliveries, waste disposal, and general kitchen support duties shared among the team.

  • Reliable, punctual, and diligent work ethic.
  • Well-organized and able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  • Eager to learn and grow professionally.
  • Versatile and comfortable handling various kitchen responsibilities.
  • Previous professional kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory; culinary training and the right mindset are valued.
