About the Role
Urban Cosmos, a dessert café located in Begur, Bengaluru, is seeking a Junior Baker / Bakery Assistant passionate about baking and eager to expand their skills in creating a variety of cakes and desserts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare an assortment of desserts including brownies, cupcakes, cheesecakes, and cakes with attention to quality and freshness.
- Learn and apply cake decoration techniques, chocolate ganache preparation, and cream whipping.
- Ensure ingredient preparation is timely and accurate.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels to manage inventory and minimize wastage.
- Handle packaging of orders efficiently.
- Support café operations as needed beyond baking duties.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
Candidates with basic baking knowledge, previous bakery experience, or formal baking training are preferred. Freshers who demonstrate a passion for baking, willingness to learn, and responsibility are also encouraged to apply. A positive outlook, creativity, punctuality, and ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
