Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and well-organized Junior Accountant to assist with daily financial and accounting operations. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate bookkeeping, process daily transactions, and support financial reporting as well as reconciliation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and expense claims.
  • Perform general ledger entries and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Monitor outstanding account balances, detect discrepancies, and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Support audit processes, tax documentation, budgeting, and other finance-related projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles, including bookkeeping and general ledger management.
  • Experience or familiarity with accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, bank reconciliation, expense management, and month-end close procedures.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial management tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to meticulously organize and maintain financial documentation and data.
  • Understanding of accounting standards, financial controls, and basic taxation or statutory compliance is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration within teams and external contacts.
  • Integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
  • Motivated to learn and enhance knowledge of accounting practices and financial reporting.
  • Proactive, responsible, and detail-focused attitude with a dedication to accuracy and data integrity.
