Junior Accountant

Overview

The Junior Accountant is responsible for performing various general accounting tasks, including journal entry recording and inventory verification, while adhering to established accounting controls. This position supports the finance and accounting department in maintaining precise and timely financial documentation for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and update all journal entries, such as invoices, payment vouchers, journal vouchers, and purchasing records, in line with local accounting standards and regional policies.
• Verify supporting documentation for payments and request disbursements following regional policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier accounts, sub-ledgers, accruals, and fixed assets schedules.
• Review the accuracy and compliance of coupons and expense payments.
• Manage payment preparation processes and related documentation effectively.
• Organize, update, and maintain relevant information within Rentokil Boecker systems.
• Ensure data integrity across all company systems, forms, and reports.
• Generate daily bank deposit reports.
• Process purchase invoices accurately and timely.
• Perform physical inventory counts for Operations, Food Safety, and Marketing stocks and report discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage stock levels and inventory efficiently.
• Maintain both physical and electronic archiving systems properly.

Candidate Requirements

• Applicant must be a Saudi national.
• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Membership in SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants) is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of accounting experience is required.
• Proficiency in English language is essential; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic accounting software is necessary.
