Position Overview
We are seeking a Judges Clerk to join the Auckland District Court for a fixed term of 2 years on a full-time basis. This role involves supporting District Court Judges and Community Magistrates with thorough legal research and assisting in resolving legal issues efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, high-quality legal research and advice to District Court Judges and Community Magistrates.
- Facilitate informed decision-making on legal matters by Judges and Magistrates.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines independently.
Candidate Profile
- Hold an LLB degree with a strong academic record.
- Exhibit excellent written communication abilities and proficient computer skills.
- Prioritize accuracy and professionalism in service delivery.
- Capable of balancing legal principles with practical outcomes.
- Experience or interest in the justice system or customer service roles is advantageous.
Additional Information
- This is a fixed-term role based at Manukau District Court, Auckland.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Those invited to proceed must consent to criminal conviction disclosures and police checks.
- Application requires a cover letter, CV, academic transcript, and a sample of recent legal research (preferably up to two pages).

Salary Details
- Starting salary: $69,845 per annum
- After 6 months: $74,115 per annum
- After 12 months: $78,409 per annum
- After 18 months: $81,272 per annum
- Second-year extension option: $84,135 per annum
