About the Opportunity
CatholicCare NT offers a rewarding position as a Job Coach based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The role involves regular travel and overnight stays in remote communities including Santa Teresa, Titjikala, and Finke. This position provides above award remuneration and relocation support to ease your transition.

Program Overview
The Remote Australia Employment Services Program (RAES) focuses on extensive case management support to unemployed Aboriginal individuals, aiming to enhance social and economic wellbeing. By fostering employment opportunities in collaboration with local communities, the program helps job seekers develop practical skills and gain valuable qualifications, improving their employability.
Role Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and support job seekers to develop their skills and secure employment
- Assess job seekers’ capabilities and create tailored plans for improvement
- Engage employers to identify relevant job vacancies
- Assist job seekers in completing and submitting job applications
- Regularly travel and accommodate overnight stays in remote communities outside of Alice Springs
Candidate Requirements
- Strong interpersonal abilities and effective communication, including writing case notes and reports
- Capability to communicate effectively with diverse cultural groups, particularly Indigenous communities
- Proficiency in technology use including MS Word, Outlook, and various applications and systems
- Demonstrated cultural competence in working with Aboriginal people
- Ability to comply with funding guidelines and consistently achieve targets for job placements, including outcomes at 13 and 26 weeks
- Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines and reach outcomes
Additional Important Information
CatholicCare NT maintains a strict zero tolerance policy towards child abuse and prioritizes the safety of children and young people in its programs and activities. Employment will be conditional upon satisfactory completion of a National Police Check, Working with Children (Ochre) Card, Adverse and Social Media screening, and, where applicable, International Criminal History check if the candidate has lived overseas for 12 months or more in the last decade.
