Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Java Technical Project Manager to join our Mumbai location immediately. The candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in Java technologies with hands-on project delivery, team leadership, and stakeholder collaboration experience. This role involves oversight of enterprise application projects built on Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive delivery of Java-driven application projects.
- Guide and mentor development teams specializing in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Engage with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to elicit requirements and map project timelines.
- Conduct Agile/Scrum rituals including sprint planning, estimations, and release coordination.
- Track project schedules, risks, dependencies, and resource distribution.
- Evaluate technical designs, architecture strategies, and maintain code quality.
- Ensure compliance with best development practices including security and performance standards.
- Provide frequent status reports and manage stakeholder communication.
- Support deployment activities and address critical escalations effectively.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience
- 6 to 10 years of IT experience with relevant project management expertise.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Practical understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.
- Team leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Knowledge of SQL databases and system architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude along with strong communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Knowledge of Kafka messaging systems.
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins automation.
- Understanding of DevOps practices.
