Java Production Support Engineer

About the Role

This position seeks an experienced Java Production Support Engineer with expertise in Java, SQL, and Unix to effectively manage production support activities. The role involves handling incidents, change management, deployments, and batch job monitoring in live environments. Strong focus is placed on root cause analysis and resolving critical production issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production support incident handling, deployment activities, and change management requests.
• Monitor batch jobs and other scheduled tasks, performing analysis to identify root causes in the event of problems.
• Lead major incident calls, coordinating swift resolution efforts.
• Engage directly with customers to address issues and provide updates.
• Participate in governance calls, drive process improvements, and contribute to automation initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Java programming and application support.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL for database interactions.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line operations.
