Java Microservices Developer

Role Overview

This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting applications leveraging Java technologies and microservices architecture. It requires contributing to critical module development using Java, Microservices, and React frameworks while fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design applications primarily using Java and Microservices.
• Lead the creation of important modules leveraging Java/Microservices and React.
• Engage in ongoing enhancement efforts to improve software quality and performance.
• Participate actively in software design meetings and technical discussions.
• Produce high-quality, production-ready code ensuring robustness and maintainability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• At least 8 years of comprehensive experience in Java, J2EE, Microservices, APIs, and RESTful services.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks.
• Experience deploying applications on various application servers including IBM WebSphere Application Server, JBoss, WebLogic, and Tomcat.
• Strong command of Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Serial Bus, MQ, and communication protocols such as SFTP and HTTP.
• Familiarity with shell scripting.
• Practical development experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Skilled at troubleshooting issues in production environments.
• Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and GitHub for version control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Background in vendor management is a plus.
