Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Java Developer to join our team remotely. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable Java applications that leverage AWS cloud services, handle batch processing, and incorporate database management to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create scalable Java applications tailored to business needs.
• Utilize AWS offerings such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Event Bus to design and deploy cloud-native solutions ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Develop and optimize database schemas, execute SQL queries, and improve system performance across relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Build and maintain batch processing systems to efficiently manage large data volumes.
• Ensure high code quality through rigorous reviews, comprehensive testing, and conformity to standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA teams, and fellow developers within cross-functional groups.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and software defects.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar disciplines.
• At least 5 years of professional experience developing Java applications within product or service-oriented environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS platforms including EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Event Bus.
• Proficiency in relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), with skills in SQL writing and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong command of Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and REST API development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a collaborative team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with batch processing frameworks and tools.
• Minimum two years of experience with Python programming.
