Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to lead and execute projects involving low-latency trading algorithms and front-office trading applications. Your role encompasses hands-on design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project efforts by managing deliveries and actively designing and implementing robust solutions for latency-sensitive trading algorithms.
• Develop and maintain front-office trading applications, collaborating closely with business users to translate complex business and regulatory demands into innovative, effective software solutions.
• Employ a comprehensive range of software engineering best practices to ensure the solutions are secure, reliable, compliant, and of high quality.
• Collaborate with global teams to enhance Quoting applications, incorporating observability features, monitoring production system health, resolving incidents swiftly, and addressing root causes to mitigate risks.
• Act as a mentor and contributor within the engineering community, sharing knowledge and supporting junior staff development.

Team Environment

Within an agile structure, you will be part of global development crews aligned to products meeting client needs. The focus is on automated electronic trading applications, working closely with front-office stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in front office environments, capable of engaging effectively with business stakeholders.
• A minimum of eight years in similar roles or specialized domains related to trading platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of real-time trading platforms and business domains associated with finance and trading.
• Advanced skills in Java programming, alongside a strong willingness to adopt new technologies and development practices.
• Exceptional communication skills enabling strong internal client relationships.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities with an aptitude for performing under pressure.
• Demonstrated capacity to multitask and adapt rapidly to evolving business requirements.
