Java Backend Developer (Microservices)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer specialized in microservices architecture to join our team at Unison Group in Singapore. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot framework, with strong emphasis on modular and maintainable microservices-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and sustain high-performance and scalable backend applications leveraging Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Create and deploy microservices-based solutions aligned with best practices for scalable and maintainable system architecture.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs and web services to support both internal processes and external client applications.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, system architects, quality assurance teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver optimal technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Java code adhering to coding standards and industry best practices.
• Design and optimize database structures, SQL queries, and data access layers to improve application stability and performance.
• Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, root cause identification, and resolution of software issues to ensure smooth operation of applications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated strong experience in Java software development.
• Hands-on expertise in building and managing applications based on microservices architecture.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework for backend development.
• Proficient knowledge of RESTful API development and web services integration.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with SQL databases and database management.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and applying Agile methodologies in project execution.
