Java Backend Developer

Role Overview

RChilli Inc. is seeking a Java Backend Developer with 1-2 years of experience to work onsite at our Mohali office. The working hours are from 10 am to 8 pm IST, totaling 10 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced algorithms for critical application features.
• Conduct thorough system analysis, design, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Monitor application performance metrics and optimize for enhanced efficiency.
• Manage project milestones and deadlines effectively.
• Design database schemas and craft efficient MySQL queries.
• Develop scalable, multi-threaded applications with high performance.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and prepare necessary documentation.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, B.Tech in IT or Computer Science & Engineering, MCA, MSc in IT, or equivalent fields.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Java, web services, and design patterns.
• Excellent logical reasoning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for large-scale product development.
• Experience with code optimization, performance tuning, and familiarity with Java/MySQL profilers.
• Strong debugging skills to diagnose issues and apply effective solutions.
• Knowledge of Regular Expressions, Solr, Elasticsearch, Natural Language Processing, Text Processing, or related machine learning libraries.
• Ability to quickly learn and resolve problems independently.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on programming skills in Core Java, J2EE, and Java Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Good grasp of Object-Oriented Design and common design patterns.
• Experience in performance tuning, heap dump analysis, and utilization of profilers for optimization.
• Proficient in debugging and root cause analysis with effective resolution implementation.
• Experience building multi-threaded applications.
• Understanding of data parsing and regular expressions.
• Familiarity with search technologies such as Solr, Elasticsearch, or NLP tools is advantageous.
• Exposure to Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture is a bonus.
• Knowledge of version control tools like Git, build tools like Maven, issue tracking with JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving mindset combined with programming acumen.
• Utilize AI-based tools like Copilot, Claude, Codex to enhance productivity.
