Java Back End Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Back End Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for enterprise applications. You'll work primarily with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture to build robust and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API standards.
• Build and support microservices-based architectures to ensure scalable and maintainable applications.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers on full stack development tasks as needed.
• Manage source code using Git and conduct code reviews as part of CI/CD workflows.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure applications meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of Java 17 and proficiency with the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices and REST API endpoints.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, especially with PostgreSQL, and experience with multiple NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git and RTC.
• Familiarity working in Agile environments and using project management tools such as Jira.
• Understanding of software design principles, debugging, testing, and static/dynamic code analysis.
• Knowledge of security principles including OWASP vulnerabilities.
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with message queuing (IBM MQ/JMS), caching, GraphQL, resilience 4j, and API gateway tools such as Apigee is a plus.

• Maven for build automation.
• Testing frameworks including JUnit and Mockito.
• Integrated development environments such as Eclipse, Spring Tool Suite (STS), or Rational Application Developer (RAD).
• Persistence frameworks like Hibernate and Spring JPA.
• Data format processing with XML and JSON.
• Web servers like Tomcat.
• Database connectivity via JDBC.
• SOAP web services.
