Role Overview

We are seeking a dependable Janitorial Associate to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across our facility. This role requires hands-on experience in cleaning and janitorial duties within commercial or production settings. You will ensure facility upkeep adhering to health, safety, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily cleaning tasks covering office spaces, lunchrooms, washrooms, handwashing stations, staff areas, and common zones.
• Empty and scrub garbage and recycling containers as scheduled.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors to uphold cleanliness.
• Clean furniture, fixtures, kitchen appliances, refrigerators, and various surface areas.
• Sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, dispensers, and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness of docks, ramps, waste spots, and external premises.
• Wash organic waste and recyclable bins thoroughly as needed.
• Clean dock doors and remove buildup of garbage, food residue, and dust.
• Handle worn smocks by placing them in assigned laundry collections.
• Operate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely while performing sanitizer concentration checks.
• Complete cleaning checklists and notify management of irregularities or concerns.
• Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, and chemical handling guidelines.
• Identify safety or maintenance issues related to cleanliness and report promptly.
• Assist the Janitorial Lead and teammates in prioritizing daily cleaning tasks.
• Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness throughout the entire facility.

Candidate Profile

• Proven practical experience as a janitor or commercial cleaner, preferably in food production, manufacturing, warehouse, restaurant, or similar environments.
• Hotel housekeeping experience alone is insufficient; hands-on facility cleaning is essential.
• Able to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending during an 8-hour shift and lifting items up to 25 lbs (11.3 kg).
• Detail-focused with a keen eye to spot dirt, spills, or areas needing attention without prompting.
• Dependable with strong punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Comfortable following established cleaning procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), GMPs, and food safety rules.
• Familiarity with safe use and dilution of cleaning chemicals.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented setting.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly wage of $20.65.
• Work period: Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
