Janitor

Job Overview

This Janitor position involves maintaining cleanliness and order across office spaces, plant break rooms, restrooms, and all other non-manufacturing and non-maintenance zones. The role operates under direct supervision with adherence to specific instructions and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate floor sweepers to clean production areas and remove cobwebs and clean windows.
• Mop floors, vacuum office areas, and wipe down desks, counters, and break room surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets.
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigerator, microwave ovens, and ice machines in break areas.
• Ensure restrooms are stocked with essentials such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or issues in restrooms and break rooms promptly.
• Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies to ensure adequate stock.
• Perform any additional housekeeping duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Preferably at least one year of experience in housekeeping or similar roles.
• Ability to work safely and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Competent use of cleaning tools and equipment.
• Keen observation skills to identify safety hazards or equipment problems.
• Basic proficiency in understanding verbal and written English instructions.
• Capable of performing tasks under immediate supervisor guidance.
• Must pass a drug screening test.
• Availability to work hours as scheduled by management.
