Job Summary

The Janitor role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of buildings through various heavy cleaning duties like floor care, rug shampooing, washing walls and glass, and rubbish removal. The position requires performing cleaning tasks to keep environments safe and sanitary for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash in compliance with approved infection control procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following standardized methods.
• Relocate equipment and furniture to clean areas thoroughly, then replace them appropriately.
• Sanitize all surfaces using assigned materials and follow an eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other structures to maintain hygiene.
• Identify areas needing cleaning proactively and complete the assigned tasks.
• Comply with all federal, state, and county guidelines while performing duties.
• Strip, scrub, buff, refinish floors and shampoo carpets as required.
• Work cooperatively as part of the team, maintaining professionalism with customers and colleagues alike.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Prior experience in janitorial work combined with customer service exposure is necessary.
• Availability to work a full-time schedule including weekends and holidays, with specific days and hours varying.
