Role Overview

We are expanding and seeking a Janitor to join our Port Alberni team. This full-time, onsite role allows you to develop a fulfilling career locally within one of the region's largest and fastest growing employers.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the building through routine general cleaning tasks.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop various floor surfaces.
• Sanitize restrooms and replenish necessary supplies.
• Collect trash and dispose of waste correctly.
• Address spills promptly using proper methods and tools.
• Conduct minor repairs and carry out basic maintenance duties.
• Inspect facility condition and report significant repair needs to management.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are sufficiently stocked.
• Carry out assigned duties efficiently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Skills

• Capable of lifting at least 30 pounds safely.
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals and supplies responsibly.
• Proven experience in janitorial and cleaning roles.
• Basic aptitude in minor maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to operate standard cleaning machines and tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong focus on cleanliness standards.
• Dependable, punctual, and motivated to work independently.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage ranging from $20 to $22.
