Janitor

Overview

Flik Hospitality Group is currently seeking a full-time Janitor based at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of buildings, including tasks such as floor care, cleaning walls and glass, waste disposal, and more. This position is remote in terms of application process, with on-site duties at the specified address.

Work Schedule and Location

The work schedule is full time with shifts typically between 3:00 pm and 11:00 pm; exact days may vary and will be detailed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

• Properly collect and dispose of trash in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Dust and mop floors using approved methods.
• Move furniture and equipment as necessary for thorough cleaning and restore their placement afterwards.
• Clean designated areas using assigned materials and equipment, ensuring sanitation of all surfaces through an eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Identify and proactively address areas needing cleaning.
• Carry out all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform duties adhering to federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to a professional and cooperative team environment with customers and colleagues.
• Undertake any additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a fixed wage of $17.00 per hour. Additional perks include free meals, uniforms, and laundering services at select locations.
