IT Support Officer

Job Overview

The IT Support Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's core IT infrastructure and operations, including operating systems, security tools, hardware, software, servers, email systems, and end-user devices like laptops and desktops. This position is instrumental in supporting business-critical IT projects and driving improvements that streamline workflows and enhance employee productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and provide ongoing support for workstation software, hardware, printers, and telephony equipment.
• Assess staff computing needs, identify weaknesses, and improve system efficiency and accuracy.
• Design, document, implement, test, and administer systems and networks to ensure they align with business requirements and function cohesively.
• Manage software and application upgrades, addressing any performance issues promptly.
• Conduct training for employees on software and hardware usability and deliver technical support as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of two years' experience in IT support roles.
• Comprehensive understanding of operating systems such as Mac OS X and Windows.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup and recovery processes and system performance monitoring tools.
• Proficient with commonly used software and applications, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Google Workspace.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to handle sensitive company information confidentially.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in project management.
