IT Supervisor

Overview

At IHG Hotels & Resorts, reliable hardware and foolproof software solutions are the foundation of exceptional daily operations. We are seeking an IT Supervisor to take charge of implementing new systems, enhancing security, and upholding the highest standards of IT excellence. This role ensures all team members are equipped with essential IT tools and support for effective performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for maintaining computer hardware, guaranteeing systems are installed accurately and operate smoothly.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Business Support, and Area IT Leader regarding IT system status.
• Stay current on all authorized technology and systems, including local area networks (LAN) and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Manage hardware and software functionality, enforce both digital and physical security policies, and assess vendor proposals.
• Conduct knowledge sharing and training sessions to empower hotel teams with IT expertise.
• Protect the organization's IT infrastructure against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Have at least four years of relevant experience in computer setup and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with networks, operating systems, and database management.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledgeable about Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
• Be a proactive team player who is responsible, hardworking, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
