About the Department and Role
The Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) team supports the Department of Corrections' core operations to ensure reliable service delivery regardless of external disruptions. The department is undergoing a transformation to modernize its infrastructure and digital platforms, enhancing technology services for both staff and the people managed by Corrections.
We invite applications for the position of IT Service Analyst in the Digital team, located at the Wellington National Office with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective and timely resolution of service requests by coordinating with external providers and working to automate request handling processes.
- Monitor the fulfillment of requests by service providers outside the service desk scope.
- Collaborate with and assist end-users to refine their requests and support their daily ICT needs.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is technologically proficient, customer-oriented, and communicates effectively. You excel at building constructive relationships within IT support or customer service settings. Quick to learn new systems and procedures, you apply sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
You are reliable, proactive, and exhibit a strong work ethic, ready to go beyond expectations to provide exceptional service. Your ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize competing demands ensures quality customer experience and attention to detail in a fast-moving environment.
Skills and Experience
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and methodical work habits.
- Proven team player with strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience liaising with senior personnel and managing urgent, high-priority situations effectively.
Salary
The salary midpoint for this role is NZD 93,688 annually, with a range from NZD 79,635 to NZD 112,426 based on relevant experience and qualifications.
