IT Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Procurement Specialist to oversee the complete procurement cycle for IT products and services at a rapidly growing oil exploration and production company in Africa. This role includes sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing IT hardware, software, cloud solutions, licenses, and networking equipment, while ensuring alignment with company policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for IT-related products and services.
• Identify and engage vendors; solicit quotations and assess bids thoroughly.
• Negotiate commercial terms to secure favorable pricing and contract conditions.
• Manage purchase order processing and assure timely delivery of procured items.
• Maintain vendor relationships, monitor contract renewals, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and other stakeholders to accurately capture procurement needs.
• Ensure strict compliance with organizational procurement policies and keep comprehensive records.
• Stay abreast of industry market trends for cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement efficiencies.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated expertise in IT purchasing, including hardware, software acquisitions, license renewals, and vendor negotiations.
• Prior experience working within the IT sector is highly advantageous.
