Job Overview
The role of IT Infrastructure Analyst involves providing ongoing production support and handling assigned technical initiatives efficiently and effectively. The candidate will respond to alerts from monitoring systems, automated emails, and direct end-user escalations, working to resolve issues within set Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or escalating them to Tier 3 support. Coordination with external stakeholders such as hardware vendors, data center personnel, and product support teams is essential for incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage multiple virtual machines and containers proactively to ensure continuous 24/7 operation.
- Apply best practices in system and service management across diverse environments.
- Analyze faults and examine logs to identify and report performance anomalies.
- Continuously monitor system performance and plan capacity accordingly.
- Oversee the implementation of software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
- Develop or adjust scripts and applications to automate or streamline tasks.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to support and manage multiple IT systems effectively.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required education includes BSc in IT, B.E., BCA, or B.Tech degrees.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in administering and managing Windows and Linux systems.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration.
- Proficient knowledge of Linux distributions such as RedHat and CentOS.
- Strong understanding and experience with VMware and Kubernetes environments, including installation and upgrades.
- Thorough knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and SNMP protocols.
- Solid grasp of networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Quick learner capable of rapidly acquiring new technological knowledge.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to storage system solutions.
- Familiarity with automation tools.
