IT Applications Manager (Software Solutions)

Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic and hands-on IT Applications Manager specializing in Software Solutions to guide the development, integration, and enhancement of our software platforms that support retail, eCommerce, and supply chain activities. This role demands a strong background in enterprise software systems and programming along with demonstrated leadership in managing software engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the deployment, upgrades, and support of essential business systems like Point of Sale (POS), ERP, CRM, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Lead, coach, and guide a team comprising software engineers and business analysts to build scalable and high-quality software solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather detailed system requirements and convert them into technical project specifications.
• Oversee complete project cycles for web application development and internal integrations to improve operational efficiencies and system interactions.
• Maintain consistency, security, and reliable integration of data across multiple platforms.
• Stay actively involved in programming tasks, focusing primarily on Python, and conduct frequent code evaluations.
• Promote integration of internal systems using APIs, message queues, or middleware to facilitate real-time data sharing.
• Ensure compliance with technical documentation standards, adopt best practices, and administer change management procedures.
• Keep abreast of emerging technological trends and recommend strategic upgrades to systems.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• At least five years of pertinent experience in IT or software development, with a minimum of two years in a leadership or technical lead position.
• Deep technical knowledge of Python and established software development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS or Alicloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD workflows, and API integration techniques.
• Proven expertise with enterprise-level solutions including POS (e.g., Oracle Xstore), ERP (e.g., SAP), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RFID technology, and Ecommerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Background in retail, eCommerce, or supply chain industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities and the agility to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills enabling effective interaction between business and technical teams.
