IP Billing Executive

Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced IP Billing Executive to oversee inpatient billing activities, ensuring precision and efficiency in billing processes. This role involves close collaboration with patients, insurance/TPA teams, and various hospital departments to guarantee accurate invoicing and timely settlements.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and process inpatient billing statements.
• Verify all billing components including patient details, treatment packages, procedures, medications, investigations, and additional hospital charges.
• Liaise with doctors, nursing staff, pharmacy, laboratory, and other relevant departments to gather necessary billing information.
• Manage insurance and TPA billing processes, including approvals and required documentation.
• Verify discharge bills and ensure correct final settlements.
• Identify discrepancies in billing and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain thorough and organized billing records and documentation.
• Address billing and payment inquiries from patients and their attendants.
• Coordinate with accounting and insurance departments to facilitate prompt bill settlement.
• Ensure strict adherence to hospital billing policies and procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduation in any discipline; qualifications in healthcare or hospital management are advantageous.
• Preferably 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in hospital inpatient billing.
• Familiarity with TPA/insurance billing processes and standard hospital billing protocols.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with fundamental computer proficiency.
• Willingness to work in shift patterns and manage work pressure effectively.
