Role Overview

The Investment Director will spearhead investment research initiatives and oversee the entirety of the investment process. Collaborating closely with senior leaders, this role aims to elevate research prowess, streamline portfolio operations, and promote analytical excellence within the investment team. This position demands a research-driven professional who possesses extensive market insight and strong operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the investment due diligence process by identifying, evaluating, and screening potential investment opportunities across various strategies and geographies.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis regarding performance metrics, investment methodologies, risk factors, and team qualifications.
• Maintain ongoing communication with fund managers to review strategy changes, performance attributions, and organizational stability.
• Coordinate all phases of due diligence working alongside internal teams, manage progress trackers, ensure punctual updates, and compile detailed investment memoranda for senior management.
• Perform macroeconomic research and market assessments by monitoring economic indicators, central bank policies, and geopolitical events to evaluate market impacts.
• Develop market trend insights and scenario analyses that guide investment decision-making and portfolio positioning, providing concise briefs for senior executives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 to 12 years' experience in investment management encompassing research, portfolio management, or institutional allocations.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets and sophisticated financial instruments.
• Advanced academic credentials such as a Master's or PhD in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or other quantitative disciplines.
• Proficiency in Python programming for investment analytics and portfolio oversight.
• Outstanding research capabilities coupled with strong written communication.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee complex multi-stakeholder projects in investment environments.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal and other industry-standard investment platforms.

Preferred Credentials

• Professional certifications including CFA, CAIA, or equivalent.
• Additional coding expertise in languages such as R and SQL.
• Experience investing in emerging markets and documented success in portfolio management.
