We are currently seeking an Investment Consultant to join the Chief Investment Office (CIO) team, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to implement the CIO’s target operating model to foster investment management excellence, product innovation, and business expansion.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed portfolio analytics and investment monitoring for assigned asset classes, highlighting key performance factors and addressing emerging investment issues to facilitate informed discussions.
• Generate insightful investment reports and analysis for management and other stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of portfolio and market data.
• Support governance and investment processes, including portfolio and mandate oversight, reporting compliance, and driving enhancements in data, systems, and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Finance, Risk, and other teams to translate business needs into tailored investment strategies and solutions supporting insurance product development and strategic growth initiatives.
• Develop and assess investment solutions, considering factors such as asset allocation, expected returns, liquidity, capital requirements, accounting treatments, risk exposures, and hedging techniques to ensure product competitiveness and sustainable business performance.
• Oversee product-related investment activities from conception through launch and ongoing management, coordinating with internal departments, group investment teams, asset management entities, and external service providers to establish mandates, processes, controls, and reporting frameworks while resolving any operational challenges post-launch.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, financial engineering, data analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, or related disciplines. Advanced degrees and professional certifications such as CFA are highly advantageous.
• Seven to fifteen years of relevant experience in insurance, investments, asset management, banking, actuarial fields, product development, or other financial services sectors. Candidates with strong relevant expertise but lesser experience may be considered.
• Proven knowledge of financial markets and investment products, particularly in insurance product solutioning, portfolio analytics, investment reporting, asset-liability management, or investment operations and governance.
• Competent in performing both quantitative and qualitative analyses, with the ability to convert findings into actionable, practical recommendations suitable for investment and business audiences.
• Excellent written communication capabilities for crafting presentations, management reports, committee documentation, and product-related investment training materials targeting diverse stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills with sound judgment in execution, capable of managing multiple workstreams, addressing implementation issues, and enhancing supporting processes and controls.
• Analytical and problem-solving prowess to assess trade-offs, formulate pragmatic recommendations, and clearly articulate their implications to all stakeholders.
• Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills, experienced in delivering training, presentations, and decision materials effectively to both management and operational teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant investment or analytic software tools. Familiarity with Bloomberg terminals, Aladdin platform, data visualization, or automation tools is advantageous.
