Role Overview and Responsibilities

This role primarily ensures the availability of necessary spare parts at all external Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) facilities to support heavy maintenance activities and guarantees the accurate entry and validation of regulatory compliance data within the MIS TRAX system.

• Timely actioning of AOG, critical, and routine requisitions and transfer orders to meet business needs.
• Providing backup support for requisitions and transfer orders during high volume periods or staff leave.
• Conducting routine audits and stock takes to verify material transactions in TRAX are accurate.
• Managing mailbox for transfer orders and logistic requests.
• Orchestrating part movements to ensure their availability for scheduled maintenance and defect rectification in heavy maintenance contexts.
• Controlling freight costs and managing supplier relationships via Vendor Management Meetings, supported by vendor KPI tracking.
• Collaborating with the Base Maintenance Support Manager to devise material strategies aligned with external Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, emphasizing cost efficiency, service quality, and procedural compliance.
• Reviewing freight expenses and inventory min/max levels related to heavy maintenance, ensuring optimal operational outcomes.
• Updating business procedure manuals, including Interface Procedure User Guides, with supplier input.
• Formulating corrective and preventive measures based on audit findings.
• Supporting the development of processes to maintain materials accuracy across all locations.
• Acting as the point of contact alongside Base Maintenance Support Manager to implement material strategies that align MRO support with corporate standards.
• Ensuring personal safety within the SINDC area and adherence to Jetstar's safety policies.
• Guaranteeing that Stores & Receipt Compliance staff across the network are trained, competent, and approved per AMOE P145 standards.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• At least five years of experience in procurement (including purchasing or repairs) or logistics, preferably within an operational setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with aircraft maintenance materials.
• Proficiency in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Microsoft Office software.
• A minimum of five years' experience within the aviation sector.
• Background working with high-capacity passenger transport operators.
• Leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to effectively guide a team.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to integrate various organizational components to achieve objectives.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Comprehensive understanding of departmental workflows and procedures.
