Inventory Controller

About the Role

If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for organization, and take pride in accuracy, this opportunity as an Inventory Controller at ZIWI in Napier could be ideal for you. In this hands-on position, you will ensure inventory accuracy, keep transaction records up to date, and facilitate information flow between our warehouse, supply chain, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile inventory transactions through our ERP system.
• Track inventory movements and investigate any discrepancies that arise.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and maintain inventory records.
• Support warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations effectively.
• Coordinate operational and support team communications to ensure consistency.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines within a dynamic environment.
• Work accurately and calmly under pressure, maintaining a sharp attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes while maintaining controls, compliance, and inventory integrity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 2 years experience in inventory control, logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or a closely related operational field.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems for managing inventory transactions and reconciliations.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy and confidence in questioning irregular data.
• Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization, and time management abilities.
• A collaborative team approach with the ability to share knowledge and support consistent process adherence.
• A practical mindset aimed at continuous improvement while valuing robust controls and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Experience

• Background in FMCG, food manufacturing, or regulated export environments.
• Familiarity with MPI regulations, eligibility certification, or ECert procedures.
• Possession of a current forklift licence is advantageous.
