Inventory Controller

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Inventory Controller to manage inventory accuracy, stock movements, and warehouse documentation. This mid-level role involves close collaboration with Warehouse, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Operations teams to optimize stock levels, maintain precise inventory records, and enhance inventory management efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and regulate stock quantities across various warehouses and storage points.
• Ensure accurate documentation of stock receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
• Perform routine physical stock counts, cycle counts, and full inventory audits.
• Analyze and investigate inventory discrepancies to uncover root causes of variances.
• Align physical inventory counts with ERP, WMS, and other system records through reconciliation.
• Track stock levels to detect shortages, surpluses, slow-moving, or obsolete inventory items.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Operations teams for precise stock handling and documentation.
• Assist with stock replenishment initiatives to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Verify inventory transactions and documents such as delivery receipts, goods receipts, and stock adjustments.
• Prepare and present inventory, stock movement, variance, and performance reports.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by implementing corrective measures upon detecting discrepancies.
• Support management of damaged, expired, obsolete, and excess stock items.
• Ensure adherence to company inventory control policies and operational standards.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance departments to resolve inventory issues.
• Propose improvements to processes that enhance inventory accuracy, reduce losses, and increase operational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or related stock management roles.
• Solid knowledge of inventory management practices and warehouse control procedures.
• Competence in physical inventory counts, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
• Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Understanding of stock turnover, replenishment, and inventory accuracy principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
• Familiarity with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively liaise with cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills with the capacity to resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Comfort working in a dynamic warehouse or fast-paced operational setting.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines is preferred.
