Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute comprehensive internal audit assignments from start to finish.
• Identify and assess business risks, and evaluate the strength of internal control measures.
• Draft thorough and clear audit reports and communicate findings to senior management.
• Participate in special investigations, consultancy reviews, and undertake ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships across different business units while providing constructive challenge.
• Ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of audits.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should be qualified accountants, holding credentials such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA, with demonstrable experience in internal or external auditing. Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication and report-writing skills are critical, alongside a keen aptitude for risk identification and recommending actionable improvements. Experience in data analytics, risk management, IT audit, or relevant assurance frameworks is desirable.

• Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000
