Job Overview
This role involves planning and conducting financial, compliance, and operational audits aligned with professional standards to assess adherence to organizational policies, laws, and regulations. The auditor ensures quality and accuracy in financial documentation within the Secretary General's units.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate detailed audit plans and programs.
- Assess effectiveness of internal controls in designated units.
- Execute audit procedures and document findings thoroughly.
- Conduct quality assurance on financial reports generated by the Secretary General's Office.
- Review direct purchase transactions below AED 10,000 for policy compliance.
- Audit departmental adherence to university policies and provide reports.
- Prepare comprehensive written audit reports.
- Monitor and verify adequacy of corrective actions taken.
- Support external auditors as necessary.
- Engage in special projects or studies as assigned.
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervision.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field alongside a professional certification.
- Three to five years of relevant auditing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with educational sector operations is advantageous.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
