Internal Auditor

About the Role

Sharq Insurance is recruiting a skilled Internal Auditor to assess and enhance the effectiveness of risk management strategies, internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance efforts within the company. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting organizational goals through thorough audits, pinpointing improvement opportunities, and ensuring all operations align with regulatory and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute internal audits across multiple business areas and processes.
• Evaluate the adequacy and functionality of internal controls, risk management systems, and compliance structures.
• Draft comprehensive audit reports detailing findings along with practical recommendations.
• Track corrective measures implementation and conduct follow-ups on audit findings.
• Ensure full compliance with insurance laws, company policies, and industry benchmarks.
• Support the formulation of yearly audit plans and risk evaluation exercises.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field.
• At least five years of hands-on internal auditing experience specifically within the insurance sector.
• In-depth understanding of auditing standards, internal control systems, risk management principles, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical capabilities, effective report writing skills, and clear communication proficiency.
• Holding professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalents will be considered beneficial.
