Role Overview

The Internal Auditor position is a full-time, on-site role located in Dar es-Salaam. The incumbent will plan and execute internal audits across financial and operational functions to verify adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include examining financial documentation, assessing internal controls, conducting transaction testing, and compiling detailed audit reports featuring findings and actionable recommendations. The auditor will evaluate risks, suggest process improvements, and cooperate with finance and operations departments to ensure corrective measures are implemented correctly. Additionally, the role requires ongoing evaluation of control effectiveness and reporting insights to management to facilitate well-informed business decisions.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong analytical capabilities complemented by a robust understanding of financial principles.
• Proven experience in conducting financial audits and preparing comprehensive audit reports.
• Effective communication skills for delivering audit findings and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, alongside familiarity with accounting or ERP software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA or CIA are advantageous.
• Exemplary ethical standards and attention to detail, paired with strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Prior exposure to internal or external auditing or financial control roles within logistics, supply chain, or similar sectors is desirable.
