Interior Site Supervisor / Finishing & Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finishing & Design Engineer specializing in architectural detailing and site execution to join our design team in Bengaluru. This position involves translating architectural and interior design ideas into precise drawings and specifications, ensuring the execution aligns with design vision, quality, and material standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Architects, Interior Designers, Consultants, and Site Teams to develop and execute design plans.
• Create and verify architectural working drawings, detailed drawings, and finish details.
• Develop detailed plans for flooring, wall finishes, stone and marble work, tile layouts, false ceilings, doors and windows, joinery, staircases, railings, toilet and kitchen finishes, feature walls, façade features, and landscape architectural elements.
• Ensure accuracy and coordination of all drawings, making them ready for construction use.
• Prepare precise material specifications, finish schedules, and curated material palettes.
• Interface with vendors and contractors regarding material samples, mock-ups, and execution specifics.
• Oversee sample and mock-up reviews to confirm adherence to approved designs.
• Conduct frequent site visits to inspect quality and progress.
• Spot and address discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions through design solutions.
• Verify correct levels, dimensions, alignments, joints, proportions, and finishing tolerances on-site.
• Coordinate finishing works with structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other services.
• Examine shop drawings submitted by contractors and suppliers.
• Support architects in resolving technical and construction-related design challenges.
• Compile snag lists, track corrections, and assure finishing quality standards.
• Maintain up-to-date drawings and effectively communicate revisions to site teams.
• Assist in evaluating and selecting materials based on aesthetics, quality, durability, and ease of construction.
• Work alongside suppliers and fabricators to develop customized architectural elements.
• Participate in design review meetings offering practical insights for construction feasibility.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in architectural design, interior execution, finishing or design coordination.
• Strong knowledge of architectural construction principles and finishing materials.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and skilled in architectural detailing.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and MS Office is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to high-end residential architecture including luxury villas and weekend homes.
• Experience with premium apartments, interior architecture, and hospitality projects.
• Expertise in bespoke architectural detailing is highly valued.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from 30,000 to 40,000 INR.
