Role and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop interior design ideas, layouts, mood boards, and visual presentations.
- Create detailed 2D technical drawings including furniture layouts, elevations, and ceiling plans.
- Produce 3D rendered designs using specialized software tools.
- Choose appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and decorative elements.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, suppliers, and onsite teams.
- Perform frequent site inspections to oversee project execution aligning with approved designs.
- Verify quality standards, dimensional accuracy, materials, and finishing workmanship.
- Support preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, quotations, and selecting cost-effective materials.
- Troubleshoot and address design and practical issues encountered during site execution.
- Ensure completion of projects within established quality parameters and deadlines.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Strong expertise in interior design and spatial planning.
- Proficient with AutoCAD for technical drawing development.
- Experience using SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape for 3D modeling and rendering.
- Competence in preparing working drawings and documentation.
- Knowledge of material selection and specification.
- Ability to estimate quantities and costs through BOQ preparation.
- Skilled in supervising site execution activities and quality control.
- Effective coordination with vendors and contractors.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a Diploma in Interior Design or a Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) degree specializing in Interior & Spatial Design.
