Position Overview
The role of Insurance Consultant at a leading insurance company involves multiple responsibilities including client advisory and team leadership. Candidates between 30 to 55+ years old are encouraged to apply, with a strong preference for senior candidates.
Job Roles
- Serving as an Insurance Consultant or Life Advisor.
- Providing investment consultancy services.
- Leading teams with the designation of Team Leader or Agency Associate.
- Working remotely from home is allowed, with no mandatory targets.

Compensation Structure
The pay includes both fixed and variable components.
- Team Leaders receive a fixed salary conditional upon achieving certain minimum business criteria laid out by the company.
- Life Advisors (Insurance Consultants) primarily earn through variable payouts until the fixed salary criteria are met.
Certification and Training
Candidates with an IRDA certification are eligible to be hired directly as Team Leaders. Those without an IRDA certificate or fresh candidates will first undergo a free 5-day training, either online or in person, followed by the IC38 exam sponsored by the company.
This certification test is conducted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA), a government regulatory authority, with only a minimal fee charged for the certificate issuance.
Career Progression
Starting as a Life Advisor, one can progress to Agency Associate (Team Leader), and further promotions include Senior and Chief Agency Associate positions. Pay structures adjust accordingly and are subject to corporate guidelines, which are discussed during personal interviews.
