Job description
Position Overview
The Insurance Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the daily functions of insurance operations. This includes handling policy administration, assisting with claims, liaising with clients and insurance providers, managing renewals, and maintaining thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day insurance tasks and policy management activities.
- Handle processes related to applications, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and overall policy administration.
- Engage with clients to communicate policy details, requirements, and updates effectively.
- Ensure accuracy in collecting and reviewing insurance documents as well as maintaining customer records.
- Assist in registering claims, supporting documentation efforts, monitoring claim progress, and providing status updates.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, brokers, clients, and internal teams to streamline operations.
- Monitor renewal schedules, expiry dates, payment tracking, and identify any outstanding policy requirements.
- Assist customers with insurance quotations, comparisons, and respond to general insurance-related inquiries.
- Resolve discrepancies in policies, documentation issues, and address customer concerns promptly.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and administrative documents related to insurance operations.
- Ensure all insurance-related activities comply with company procedures and legal regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data including customer information, policy details, financial records, and claims information.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements in customer service, claims handling, policy accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.
Candidate Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, customer support, or administrative roles is advantageous.
- Understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, renewal procedures, and policy administration.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-service orientation and excellent organizational capabilities.
- Detail-oriented approach ensuring high levels of accuracy in documentation and task execution.
- Analytical mindset to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with insurance platforms or CRM software is a plus.
- Capability to juggle multiple duties, meet deadlines, and manage customer requests proactively.
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, organizational skills, and a proactive customer-focused attitude.
