Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and driven Instructional Designer to lead projects from the initial analysis of subject matter to creating polished and engaging digital learning experiences. This multifaceted role involves instructional design, eLearning development, and visual design, requiring equally strong skills in structuring learning, crafting content in Articulate Storyline, and achieving high visual standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with consultants and interact directly with high-profile clients, necessitating both technical aptitude and a professional client-facing demeanor. The position offers flexible working options, including locations in Dublin (Ireland) and Birmingham (UK), or fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Create interactive eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline, complemented by supportive materials such as assessments, reference cards, and presentations.
• Lead design discussions with subject matter experts, transforming complex processes into clear, learner-centric content.
• Implement learning theories and design frameworks to ensure content drives effective behavioral change beyond mere information sharing.
• Manage the visual quality of deliverables, focusing on layout, typography, iconography, animation, and cohesive aesthetics.
• Participate in the entire eLearning project lifecycle, working both autonomously and within an agile learning team environment.
• Build and sustain client relationships and contribute to the evolution of learning solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in instructional design and eLearning development roles.
• Proficient with Articulate Storyline, demonstrating a strong portfolio of related development work.
• Solid instructional design expertise with a clear grasp of learning theories and their practical implementation.
• Strong graphic design abilities, with attention to visual consistency and brand adherence.
• Advanced skills in MS PowerPoint.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with confidence in engaging clients and subject matter experts.
• A portfolio showcasing past work must be submitted with the application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Articulate Rise and the broader Articulate 360 suite.
• Familiarity with Vyond or similar tools for creating animated video content.
• Background in multimedia production and user experience (UX) design.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, or their equivalents.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in eLearning, instructional design, or a related field.
• Exposure to ERP systems or large-scale enterprise training initiatives.
