Role Overview

This role places you within the in-store team, where you will enhance the store's visual appeal by creatively placing products aligned with the latest fashion trends. Responsibilities include designing engaging window and in-store displays to maximize profitability through aesthetically pleasing and strategic visual concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement weekly visual merchandising briefs tailored to the store environment.
• Use advanced visual techniques to attract and motivate customers, encouraging purchases.
• Rotate mannequins, displays, and window setups seasonally and in accordance with retail calendar events.
• Manage in-store promotions using point-of-sale materials effectively.
• Use Oracle sales data to guide product placements and merchandising floor adjustments.
• Provide training and support to store teams on merchandising and display skills.
• Ensure continuous weekly development and prepare colleagues for future merchandising roles.
• Communicate merchandising activity feedback to the Town Merchandiser.
• Maintain professionalism and lead by example while working safely and responsibly.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance of the store following company policies.

Objectives and KPIs

• Position merchandise strategically to maximize visibility and ease of access, particularly for high demand products.
• Create impactful displays that attract customers and align with JD's brand guidelines.
• Work with colleagues to maintain necessary stock levels in the store.
• Recognize trends and adjust merchandising approaches to leverage market opportunities.
• Effectively implement promotional campaigns designed to increase sales.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in visual merchandising or retail is preferred.
• Excellent skills in managing time efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Creativity, imagination, and a keen sense of fashion.
