Role Overview
The Institutional Relationship Manager will be instrumental in expanding Swissquote's presence in the UK by acquiring and managing institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and other financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new institutional clients and deepen existing client relationships across various sectors such as asset management, pension funds, hedge funds, and insurance companies.
- Introduce and promote Swissquote’s banking products and services to UK-based clients.
- Ensure client accounts are fully profiled, properly managed, and serviced in compliance with Swissquote's internal guidelines and risk management policies.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records using the Customer Relationship Management system.
- Support the establishment and development of the relationship management team in the UK.
- Discover and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth.
- Conduct business meetings aimed at closing sales deals with both institutional and private clients.
- Deploy strategic initiatives to strengthen relationships with existing institutional clients through proactive and creative outreach.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
- Work alongside the Marketing team to keep sales materials relevant and effective.
- Partner with Swissquote headquarters and overseas offices to enhance sales strategies and opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Between 2 to 6 years of proven experience in institutional sales within a banking or financial institution setting.
- Familiarity with FX and cryptocurrency markets and an understanding of electronic trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Integral, and 360T, including pricing systems, is advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset complemented by strong interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging sophisticated institutional clients confidently.
- Possession of an existing network and client relationships within the UK financial sector.
- Success demonstrated in onboarding institutional clients and fostering robust client engagement.
- Fluent in English, with additional languages considered a plus.
