Installation Fitter

About the Role

Join our team as an Installation Fitter responsible for the assembly and fitting of lifts and escalators, ensuring top quality and safety in all installations. You will work closely with project teams and contribute to the successful completion of lift installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze layout and builder’s drawings accurately to guide installation.
• Guarantee that all lift and escalator installations align with Schindler’s stringent quality benchmarks.
• Ensure every installation complies fully with industry-specific requirements and safety regulations.
• Recognize and comprehend the functions of various lift components to support effective installation.
• Organize and execute installation for a single shaft efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any problems encountered during the installation process.
• Strictly follow both local and company safety standards during all work activities.
• Provide timely updates and feedback to supervisors and team members regarding installation progress or issues.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, and Subcontractors concerning project queries or challenges.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in lift installation or mechanical and electrical work in the construction sector.
• Completed Secondary School education or vocational training in Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in reading and writing English, with the ability to communicate effectively in spoken English.
