  • Confirm adherence to approved IFC and shop drawings, material approvals, quality assurance plans (ITPs), and method statements.
  • Witness and verify field and laboratory tests such as compaction, density measurements, level checks, thickness validation, asphalt temperature monitoring, coring, and other pavement testing procedures.
  • Coordinate with survey teams to validate road alignment, levels, slopes, crossfalls, and finishing elevations.

  • Ensure only authorized and approved materials are used in permanent works, promptly reporting any defects or non-conformance issues.
  • Raise inspection observations and promptly report non-conformities to Assistant Resident Engineer/Resident Engineer and QA/QC teams.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate daily inspection records, checklists, photographic evidence, test outcomes, and comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with utility inspectors and other disciplines to verify completion and approval of underground utilities before proceeding with road layer works.
  • Monitor and manage interface coordination between roads, stormwater drainage, utilities, street lighting, landscaping, and other infrastructure components.
  • Protect completed works against damage from subsequent construction activities.
  • Ensure contractor adherence to approved traffic management plans and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements during construction operations.
  • Participate in client and authority inspections, assisting in resolving issues and closing comments.
  • Engage in snagging, de-snagging, final inspections, as-built verifications, and support project handover processes.
