Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Fire, Life, Safety Inspector to operate in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves conducting detailed inspections across commercial, industrial, and residential buildings to ensure they meet all relevant fire safety codes and life safety regulations. You will be crucial in safeguarding people and property by pinpointing risks, preparing detailed reports, and advising on corrective steps to uphold stringent safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive and systematic site inspections of various property types to verify adherence to fire and life safety codes.
  • Assess the condition and operational status of fire suppression systems, emergency exits, alarms, and other safety devices.
  • Review structural layouts, occupancy types, and building elements to evaluate fire and life safety hazards.
  • Generate detailed documentation of findings including photographs and precise measurements.
  • Detect code breaches and safety concerns, communicating them effectively to facility managers and owners.
  • Recommend remedial actions for correcting violations and enhancing safety measures.
  • Keep thorough records of all inspections, permits, and compliance paperwork.
  • Collaborate closely with property owners, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up on safety issues.
  • Stay informed on the latest updates to fire safety regulations and related legal requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed inspection reports to management and appropriate regulatory bodies.
  • Address complaints relating to fire and life safety and provide expert advice as needed.
  • Offer guidance and best practice recommendations on fire prevention and safety management.

Qualifications

  • At least eight years of professional experience in fire safety inspection, life safety compliance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Thorough understanding of fire and building codes as well as life safety laws.
  • Skilled at interpreting complex fire safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Adept at conducting risk evaluations and identifying safety hazards.
  • Knowledgeable about various fire suppression and alarm systems and emergency safety equipment.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and associated equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Capable of working autonomously and managing concurrent inspections efficiently.
  • Organized with exceptional time management abilities.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience with Saudi Arabian fire safety regulations and inspections.
  • Certification in fire safety inspection or life safety management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with digital inspection software and electronic documentation is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct training on fire safety and life safety procedures is desirable.
