Injection Molding Operator

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our production team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will have practical experience with operating injection molding machinery, managing mold functions, and ensuring consistent production quality while minimizing downtime.

Candidates with a background in producing plastic pipe fittings, molded plastic parts, or similar industrial plastic products will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise plastic injection molding machines to fulfill daily production goals.
• Execute machine start-up, continuous operation, and shutdown processes in compliance with prescribed procedures.
• Adjust and monitor machine parameters such as temperature, injection pressure, speed, cycle time, and cooling settings within approved ranges.
• Support mold installation, changeovers, setups, and initial production startups.
• Manage material handling tasks including feeding and preparation aligned with production demands.
• Perform regular visual and dimensional inspections on molded items.
• Detect typical molding defects like flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, and burn marks.
• Troubleshoot basic operational issues, make authorized adjustments, and collaborate with Maintenance and Tool & Die personnel as required.
• Work to reduce material waste, reject rates, and unplanned machine downtime.
• Keep detailed records of production volume, scrap, machine downtime, and operational concerns.
• Adhere to established quality standards, safety protocols, cleanliness, and production guidelines.
• Liaise effectively with supervisors, technicians, and quality assurance teams.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma, Vocational Certificate, or Technical Diploma.
• Have at least 2 years of direct, hands-on experience operating plastic injection molding machines; preference for candidates with over 3 years' experience.
• Solid experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing processes is essential.
• Understanding of molding equipment, molds, and operational parameters is required.
• Capability to recognize common defects in injection molding and assist in troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with mold changeovers, machine configuration, and routine production adjustments is advantageous.
• Experience producing plastic pipes, fittings, or similar molded plastic products is beneficial.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality standards.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Saudi Arabia and who can join on short notice.
