Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect specialized in Azure to spearhead complex infrastructure migration projects. The position involves guiding end-to-end migration from on-premise systems to Azure cloud platforms, designing scalable and secure Azure environments, and leading technical teams to deliver high-impact cloud transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale on-premise to Azure migrations utilizing Azure Migrate and other built-in tools.
- Create and deploy Azure Landing Zones based on Microsoft's best practices.
- Architect Azure cloud environments focusing on networking, compute, storage, identity, and security.
- Develop both high-level and detailed architecture designs along with migration strategies.
- Advise on Azure solution architecture, bill of materials, and licensing requirements.
- Lead infrastructure solution design within complex enterprise settings.
- Provide technical leadership and enforce governance over delivery teams consisting of 5 or more members.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure and Windows infrastructure performance, including networking, compute, and storage challenges.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency with Azure Migrate and infrastructure assessment tools.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Networking components such as VNETs, Hub-Spoke topology, NSGs, VPN, and ExpressRoute.
- Experience with Azure Compute, Storage, and Azure SQL in both IaaS and PaaS models.
- Expertise in Azure Identity and Access Management, Key Vault, governance, and security controls.
- Understanding of hybrid cloud environments and enterprise migration patterns.
Additional Desirable Capabilities
- Designing business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with identity, governance, and monitoring solutions in Azure.
- Experience working in highly regulated sectors such as banking, healthcare, and insurance.
Certifications Preferred
- AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
- AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator
Security and Eligibility Requirements
This position requires New Zealand citizenship and applicable Security Clearance due to the nature of engagements with governmental and regulated industry clients.
