Role Summary

The Security Engineer will join the ElevenLabs security team, working at the convergence of software, infrastructure, and security engineering. The role involves creating platforms, controls, and tooling to enable secure, high-speed deployment and operation of cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security tools and guardrails integrated into infrastructure and products.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to analyze application designs, formulate threat models, and embed secure-by-default practices throughout development processes.
• Detect, prioritize, and resolve security vulnerabilities across the technology stack in partnership with engineers, contributing code fixes when necessary.
• Release new security capabilities that enhance product security in live environments.
• Create and enforce supply chain security measures within build and deployment pipelines, including artifact signing, provenance tracking, dynamic admission controls, and generating software bill of materials (SBOM).

Essential Qualifications

• Robust engineering experience with a record of delivering production-grade systems.
• Demonstrable success in establishing and scaling security programs.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Golang) capable of producing maintainable production code.
• Practical expertise in cloud-native platforms (AWS or GCP), Kubernetes orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Strong foundational knowledge in cloud security concepts including IAM, network security, public key infrastructure, and Linux internals.
• Hands-on experience securing continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to guard against supply chain attacks.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to securing AI or machine learning infrastructures, specifically training pipelines.
• Background in developer experience or platform engineering, especially in crafting developer tools.
• Contributions to open source security projects or participation in security research and conferences.
• Experience with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO27001, PCI, or HIPAA.

Location and Inclusion

This position is fully remote and globally accessible. Preference is given to candidates in time zones GMT to GMT+3 or the UK, with options to work from offices in London or Warsaw.
